Lima Peru. From March 22 to 24, the Claret School of Maranga in Lima carried out a campaign of solidarity on behalf of the population affected by the recent floods in Peru. Although all donations were distributed on Friday, February 24, students will surely do even more in the coming days.
Peru faces one of its worst natural disasters due to the rains. The dead amount to 84, the victims reach 111,000 and are estimated at 666,000 affected. "We live days of tragedy and solidarity. The Claret School of Maranga has closed its classes, but many hearts have been opened to solidarity. Perhaps the most important lesson of this school year is precisely being imparted in these days outside of the classrooms through all the staff of the School" says Father Jesus Maria Oset, CMF, the secretary of the Province of Peru-Bolivia, in Its communication to the General Secretariat.
