Rome, Italy. On 11th March 2017, the General Mission Procure Council members: Fr. Artur Teixeira CMF (General Prefect of Apostolate), Fr. Manuel Tamargo CMF (General Econome), Fr. Vicente Sanz CMF (General Mission Procurator), Fr. Lord Winner CMF (Assistant General Mission Procurator), Br. Salvador Segura CMF (Curia Local Econome), and Fr.Vincent Anesthasiar CMF (JPIC Secretary) came together for a meeting at the General Curia to scrutinize the projects before submitting them to the General Government for approval.
Fr. Vicente announced that this year, the Procura office has received 53 project proposals from the Provincial / Delegation Mission Procurators of Indonesia-Timor Leste, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Saint Thomas, Gabon, Colombia-Venezuela, Cameroon, Congo, East Nigeria, Chad, Northeast India, San José del Sur (Argentina), St. Charles Lwanga (Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda). It is so far, the highest ever received proposals compared to the previous years.
During the session, these received project proposals were analysed and classified into six groups. The first were those that will be funded directly by the General Mission Procure. The second are the ones that will be sent to Claretian Procures. The third are those that will be sent to the Funding Agencies connected to the General Mission Procura Office. The fourth ones are the projects, which would be guided by the General Mission Procura Office but will be worked directly by the Provincial / Delegation Procures with the Funding Agency. The fifth are those that will be studied after the visit by the members of General Government in the coming days. Lastly, there are the projects that were rejected by the Council for various reasons.
